Line of Sight Photo

LINE OF SIGHT
LANDSCAPE MODE
TRACK FIELD

This photo is effective, because the curved lines of the track fields drag you in and make your eyes follow along with it. To improve the photo, the angle could have been different to make the line of sight more obvious.

Broken Pattern Photograph

BROKEN PATTERN PHOTO
LANDSCAPE MODE
ALEXANDRA BRUNO

This photo is effective, because the criss cross of the wires creating the gate was broken by the subject's hand.

Pattern Photograph

PATTERN PHOTO
LANDSCAPE MODE
DESK

This photo is effective, because the squares going vertical and horizontal create a pattern that isn't broken. And the angle really flatters the pattern even more.

Contrast Photo

CONTRAST PHOTO
PORTRAIT MODE
CAROL SOLIVEN

This photo is effective because the red "B" is in contrast against the white shirt. And with the camera being in portrait mode, the "B" is focused on even more.

Hurricane Sandy [My Photo]

STATEN ISLAND
AROUND HYLAN BOULEVARD
HURRICANE SANDY

This photograph was taken from my mobile phone. The winds from Hurricane Sandy lifted the car on top of the fire hydrant and messed up the beautiful car.

Hurricane Sandy Link

This picture touches me to a deep part of my heart, because there's just something about elderly people that makes me want to shelter them and hold them while their life slips away from them. But to have your house destroyed, and to just see the rubble from where you once laughed, cried, and slept, is too powerful beyond words. I can just put myself in their shoes. Elderly, tired, and homeless.

Frame Photograph #2

Frame Photograph #2
Subject: Unknown Name
LANDSCAPE MODE

This photograph is effective, because the subject is nicely framed by the door window which is also framed by the door frame. It is a frame within a frame within a frame. The quality of the door was effective and the subject being blurred out turned out wonderful.

Frame Photograph

Frame Photograph
Subject: Carol Soliven
LANDSCAPE MODE

This photograph is very effective, because the subject is perfectly framed by the wall and ceiling. Also, the subject is in perfect focus, while having the background in focus too without stealing all the attention. Although the girl in the pink could have potentially ruined this photograph, it was still very effective.

Portrait Photograph [October 5]

Portrait Photograph [October 5]
Subject: Alexandra Bruno
PORTRAIT MODE

This photograph is ineffective, because the camera was not in portrait mode, so the background was focused on and also was the subject. The subject is placed perfectly in a rule of thirds position and highly focused on but the background is also, ruining the shot.

ISO Photograph [800]

ISO Photograph
Subject: Carol Soliven
ISO MODE [800]

This photo is effective, because the ISO is on 800, but it doesn't drown out the natural sunlight or illuminate the picture to the point where your eyes hurt. The subject is perfectly posed in the corner, following the rule of thirds, and is being complimented by the natural background.

Night Mode Photograph

Night Photograph
Subject: Carol Soliven
NIGHT MODE

This photograph is effective, because the camera lit the dark hallway as if the sun was shining through. The subject is perfectly posed and is in a perfect angle to show that night mode was used during this photograph.

Portrait Photograph #2: Carol Soliven

Portrait Photograph #2
Subject: Carol Soliven
PORTRAIT MODE

"This photograph is ineffective, because the background is detracting all the attention away from the subject. The subject's pose and facial expression was perfect, but the windows in the background make your eyes go else where."

Portrait Photograph #1.
Subject : Carol Soliven
PORTRAIT MODE

"This shot was very effective, because the subject is in complete focus. The green background is not detracting any attention from the subject. The green, in fact, compliments the subject and her face. Her facial expression is one of pure wonder and the color of her hair stands out."

We Found Love.

This apartment looks like the apartment from We Found Love by Rihanna.
Coincidence?
I think not.

Red Flag. (Creative Angles)

Let that flag fly.

Let Mother Nature Breathe.

I support recycling.
Throw a bottle in the trash and you'll be earning a crash.

Medieval.

I swear this school was a medieval building before it became a school.

What A Sexy Keyboard.

There is NO other keyboard in this world that is this sexy.

Off Guard.

She didn't even know I took this.

Stairs.

I hate stairs.
I wish we were allowed to use the elevator everywhere.

Kaylyn Booboo.

My fabulous model, Kaylyn Medrano.

Seated But Still Handy.

Just because they can't walk, doesn't mean we should forget about them.
Never forget the little people.
Because it's a big world out there.

Hi Cellie.

As much as I hate T-Mobile,
I love how it's focused on the T-Mobile and Samsung.
I love my phone, hate my company.

Sneak Attack.

Not going to lie, I love this picture.
I don't even know who the girl is.
She was just walking by us and talking to her friend and stopped.
And it was just such a perfect picture that I had to snap it.
And it came out great!
(:

Keep Trying. (Worst Rule of Thirds)

Well, sadly, this is my worst thirds picture.
My whole plan was to get the light post to just be focused on,
but there was too much going on in the background and it just faded everything out.
I really did have hopes for this picture, so i will surely try again one time again.

Oh My Darling (Favorite Rule of Thirds)

My darling climbing a gate.
What a rebel.
I really love this picture because it's perfectly focused on her and the sun is just illuminating all the details,
so i think this picture came out really good .
(:

Food.

I really, really want this right now.

Flower (First Pictures)

Well, this is by far my FAVORITE picture that I've taken.
It's my favorite picture because I really think all nature is beautiful and with this type of quality, it really just .. POPS, for lack of better words. Even though it didn't come out exactly the way I wanted it, I'm still very content with my results (:
