Light Box

LIGHT BOX
LANDSCAPE MODE

This photo was ineffective, because it was my first time using the light box and I did not understand how to use it correctly. I should've used a different background sheet, black for example, to make a successful contrast between the nutrigrain bar and my hand. Also, I should've used the macro lens to make the nutrigrain bar more detailed and maybe I could've opened it and taken a bite. The ISO was 800 and I honestly don't understand why. If I had another chance to do this light box picture, there would be many changes.

School Spirit

SCHOOL SPIRIT
NIGHT MODE
Subject: Angelica Rodriguez

This photo was taken on Curtis School Pride Day. The subject was in her lacrosse uniform, as you see her lacrosse stick on her shoulder, and she has her Curtis Photojournalism pass. This photo was taken in night mode because the hall was dark and I put the camera in landscape mode because I wanted all of her Curtis gear in focus. The ISO is 800 because there wasn't much light there.

Emotion

EMOTION
Subject: Carol Soliven

This photo was taken on portrait mode, as the subject is in focus and the background is blurry. The subject is displaying the emotion of: sadness. The subject was sad because it was so cold and she was holding down the branch of a tree. The ISO was 800 because I started with 200 but it was cloudy out so there wasn't much sunlight coming through.

Sports

Catergory: SPORTS/ACTION
Sport: HANDBALL

This photo was taken at a handball game in sports mode. I believe this photo is effective because the subject wasn't blurry while in motion and the ball was captured next to his hand. The ISO was 100 because it was a very sunny day outside.

Macro Lens

MACROLENS
Subject: Alexandra Bruno

This picture was taken with the macro lens and it was very effective. You can see the details in everything. The mascara clumps at the ends of her eyelashes, her clear iris of her contact, and the details of her blue eye. And then you can see the lens of the camera in her pupil. This was my first time using the macro lens and I wasn't exactly sure how to use it correctly, considering the ISO lighting was 200 when it was dark in the room, but I still like this picture very much.

Spring

SPRING
PORTRAIT MODE
Subject: Nicole Ng

I think this photo reminds me of spring because, you see her wearing a sleeveless shirt and her hair is blowing in the wind. I also think that the sunlight on her face and her earring indicates a warm feeling for spring. The ISO is 100 because it was really sunny out and there wasn't much need for assistive lighting from the camera.
